About the Artist

Rachel Donohoe has been designing and producing her heirloom quality collection of collectible Santa Claus dolls and Old World inspired Father Christmas characters in her Texas home. Rachel has a passion for Santas and for Christmas and pursues her passion through her art. Her One of a Kind Santas are created with great care. A perfectionist by nature she pays very close attention to the smallest of details. Each Santa is a unique One-of-a-Kind Art Doll Santa, with hand tailored clothing using the finest of fabrics. All of the Art Doll Santa's embellishments are carefully selected - many of which are hand made and hand painted. Santa's head, hands, feet and some of the boots are hand sculpted with Prosculpt Polymer Clay which is the desired clay for all Jack Johnston original Art Dolls. All Art Doll Santas are made with the finest quality glass eyes and mohair, and have a poseable wire armature and soft sculpted body. Every Prosculpt Polymer Clay Santa Claus is signed, numbered and dated and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It normally takes up to a month to produce just one Original Art Doll Santa Claus. Rachel learned how to sculpt from Jack Johnson who is a world renowned Art Doll Artist. It was only natural to her to design Santa's since that is where her passion lies. Rachel is a member of Jack Johnston's " The Professional Doll Makers' Art Guild "and " The Academy of American Doll Artists ".
